Position Overview

At Civeo, our purpose is simple: Stay Well, Work Well, and we're dedicated to helping people maintain healthy, productive and connected lives. We create places and experiences that support our people, our clients and the communities in which we operate.

We're looking for a strategic communicator, employee champion and trusted advisor to join us as Senior Business Partner – Internal Communications, Engagement & Employee Experience. This is more than an internal communications role. It's an opportunity to shape how our people experience Civeo, strengthen our culture, and ensure employees feel connected to our purpose, values, leaders and each other.

Working closely with senior leaders, People & Culture and operational teams, you will lead the development of employee engagement strategies, compelling internal communications and a differentiated Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that brings our employer brand to life. You'll use insight, storytelling and employee voice to create meaningful experiences that build connection, pride and belonging across a geographically dispersed workforce.

This is a highly visible and influential role for a communications and engagement professional who thrives on partnering with leaders, shaping culture, driving change and delivering initiatives that have a measurable impact on both the employee experience and business performance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communication and employee engagement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the development and activation of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to attract, engage and retain talent.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic communication advice and support organisational change initiatives.
  • Drive employee listening programs and engagement initiatives, translating insights into meaningful actions.
  • Create compelling communication content across multiple channels, including intranet, newsletters, leadership messages, town halls, digital platforms and video.
  • Strengthen employer brand through authentic employee storytelling and advocacy programs.
  • Establish communication governance, editorial planning and measurement frameworks to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistency of messaging and employee experience.
  • Support communications for business-critical incidents, operational changes and sensitive matters.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent senior-level experience in internal or corporate communications within a complex organisation will also be considered.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in internal, corporate or employee communications.
  • Proven experience acting as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering enterprise-wide communication strategies and engagement programs.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, marketing, culture, employee engagement, employer branding or EVP initiatives.
  • Experience working within large, multi-site, frontline or operational environments is highly regarded.

Skills

  • Exceptional written communication, editing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting and influencing capabilities.
  • Advanced project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Expertise with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to analyse engagement data and communication metrics to drive outcomes.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, resilience and adaptability.
  • Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
