You’ll work closely with engineering, security, and platform teams, contributing to strategic direction while mentoring others and driving best practice in automation and cloud networking. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and standardisation of cloud networking architectures across AWS, with alignment to GCP and NSX environments
  • Build, automate, and manage cloud network infrastructure using Terraform and cloud-native tooling
  • Drive best practices in network design, security, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Contribute to cloud network strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and security priorities
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and support infrastructure standardisation
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and engineering teams to deliver reliable and secure network solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, supporting capability uplift across the team
  • Own operational support and escalation for cloud networking platforms, including incident response when required
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation across architecture, infrastructure, and processes
  • Participate in after-hours deployments and support activities as part of a shared team responsibility

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cloud or network engineering roles (typically 5+ years)
  • Strong expertise in Terraform (or similar), including module development, automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management
  • Solid experience designing complex cloud networking solutions (e.g., segmentation, routing, hybrid connectivity, security controls)
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions, influence outcomes, and mentor others
  • Experience with SDN technologies such as NSX
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Understanding of cloud security, identity, and architecture principles
  • Exposure to tools like Ansible and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant certification (or willingness to obtain), such as AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
