Senior Commercial Analyst (12-Month Parental Leave Cover)

Position Overview
We are seeking a commercially astute, tech savvy Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (Parental leave cover). Reporting to the National Commercial Manager – Supply Chain & Retail, this role partners closely with Procurement and Supply Chain stakeholders to deliver insight-led decision making.
This is a high-impact business partnering role where you will turn complex data into actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes across a large, fast-paced environment. It is essential you have gained solid analytical experience within Supply Chain and Procurement commercial environments, with category experience in Food, Grocery, Retail, FMCG or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain leaders to support strategic decision-making
- Deliver insight-driven analysis for supplier negotiations and tender processes
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to track procurement performance
- Build robust financial models and translate insights into clear commercial recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting frameworks, and efficiencies
- Support cross-functional projects across the broader commercial and finance teams
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Commercial/Finance Analyst within Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail sectors
- Advanced analytics capability using Power BI and/or Tableau
- Strong financial modelling and large dataset analysis experience
- Demonstrated business partnering capability with non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working in complex, matrix organisations
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot)
Highly regarded:
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE)
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of supply chain or procurement analytics
