Job Description

The Senior Compliance & Risk Partner will partner with the business on compliance and risk management related to the importation and distribution of medicinal products within Australia. This role will be invaluable in assisting senior management in understanding their risk environment and determining their risk management strategies, including the prioritisation of any rectification work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement risk frameworks, policies, and procedures for alternative medicine importation and distribution.
  • Manage and assess risks, ensuring effective controls for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review business collateral, including product labeling and advertising, for compliance.
  • Work with the Regulatory Compliance Lead to ensure adherence to compliance measures.
  • Facilitate risk assessments and workshops for strategic projects and business changes.
  • Conduct audits, monitor compliance, and maintain documentation and registers.
  • Assist in preparing risk and compliance reports for senior management and authorities.
  • Develop dashboards and metrics to track compliance risks.
  • Organise training to foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or related field (master’s or certification preferred).
  • 10+ years in compliance and risk management within regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or insurance).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organisational levels.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to integrity.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical health industry, and/or a legal background, is highly advantageous.
