What you will do

As a Senior Consultant at KPMG, you will apply your commercial mindset and technical strengths to help clients realise full value from their most critical contracted relationships. You will:

  • Apply your audit skills to identify areas of contract non-compliance and assess financial and operational risks.
  • Use your consulting capability to help solve complex challenges and support improvements in contract performance.
  • Contribute to improving operational performance of contracts and uplifting contract management practices.
  • Support recovery of lost value in commercial agreements and assist clients in meeting their contractual obligations.
  • Work with innovative solutions, including our AI KymContracts platform and automation tools, that transform how organisations manage contracts.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals who work across industries and sectors.
  • Be supported with tailored training, growth pathways, and a people-first focus on flexibility and wellbeing.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant based in our Sydney or Brisbane office, you will join an energetic and collaborative team with deep expertise in the world of large-scale contracts. In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with clients to help address commercial challenges and contribute to delivering measurable results.
  • Engage with contract owners, procurement teams, and commercial leads to provide practical advice and support assurance activities.
  • Assist in designing contract governance frameworks and helping clients improve contract management practices.
  • Use your analytical and problem solving skills to help develop automation tools that increase efficiency.
  • Support business development activities through client engagement and by identifying new opportunities.
  • Work closely with national and global KPMG specialists, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries.
  • Support and guide junior team members while role-modelling collaboration and high-quality delivery.

How you are Extraordinary

We are looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in varied environments. You will stand out if you have:

  • A strong background in audit and, or consulting, with an interest in solving client challenges.
  • A focus on building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to support clients and the team.
  • Experience in contract management, procurement support, or third-party assurance (highly regarded).
  • Curiosity about complex commercial arrangements and the data and frameworks that underpin them.
  • Tertiary qualifications, with progress toward CA or CPA qualifications highly desirable. Support will be provided if you are not yet accredited.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
