Job Description

 

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory work across a broad private and mid-market client base. You will work closely with managers, senior team members and Partners to prepare client-ready deliverables and support practical tax outcomes.

 

You will:

  • Prepare and deliver income tax returns across companies, trusts, private groups and corporate groups
  • Support and deliver income tax-focused advisory work across a range of areas, such as business and group restructures, mergers and acquisitions and international expansion
  • Support ATO reviews and audits through preparation of technical responses and documentation
  • Consider key income tax issues such as capital gains tax rollovers, tax consolidation, tax loss utilisation, Division 7A, thin capitalisation and significant global entity considerations
  • Be involved in the delivery of tax risk management and governance frameworks for businesses and groups
  • Undertake technical tax research and apply legislation, ATO guidance and case law to client scenarios
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely delivery of all client work
  • Collaborate with managers and senior leaders to deliver integrated client outcomes

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Experience in income tax compliance and advisory within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Experience preparing income tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
  • Experience delivering tax advisory focused engagements for a broad range of clients
  • Exposure to income tax issues across a broad range of clients, including corporate, international and private client groups
  • Ability to stay up to date with tax legislation, ATO guidance and relevant case law,
  • Strong technical capability across tax compliance and advisory with a hands-on delivery focus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a client-centric approach
  • Excellent communicator and willingness to work collaboratively in teams

Qualifications

  • CA / CPA (or equivalent) or currently studying towards qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
