About the role:

This is a 12-month parental leave contract. As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll be supporting the organisation through data driven insights. You'll work closely within the data team to support and deliver immense value to the business. Your role contributes to the development and execution of hipages commercial strategy.

You'll be influential in supporting the hipages marketplace as we continue to evolve and apply your experience to find the best experience for our customers. But most importantly, you’ll be joining a top-notch data team with experience and skills across all facets of data from engineering to machine learning.

You’ll work as part of a dynamic team, supporting the company with reporting, insights and analytics capabilities across various projects and disciplines from channel performance to segmentation and reporting.

How you will add value:

  • Develop a framework to present insights to the business and advise on potential enhancements to the product.
  • Analysing data, trends, and results, as well as translating into business impact for stakeholders.
  • Drive / Analyse the acquisition funnel to uncover insights and opportunities that drive jobs and tradie growth.
  • Support the teams with data to help inform use cases and requirements.
  • Contribute to growing our user base by supporting segmentation strategies to build a customised consumer experience.
  • Facilitate, orchestrate and measure the effectiveness of feature experiments.

About you:

  • Data analytics experience for an e-commerce or technology company
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses
  • Passionate about all things data, and the ability to digest complex data and storytelling
  • Organise data findings and synthesise them with business results to form high-level business recommendations
  • Communication skills with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
  • Advanced level of SQL or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of BI tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc)

 Nice to haves:

  • Relevant experience in a marketplace or digital-native organisation
  • Experience in Google Analytics and AB testing for SaaS products
  • Experience in forecasting and statistical modelling
  • Understanding of ETL framework and ETL tools 
  • dbt (Data Build Tool) or data modeling experience
  • Intermediate programming language experience in Python
  • Databricks or Snowflake experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • Tertiary degree qualified, ideally in areas of Business Analytics and Management, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Studies, or related field.
