Your New Role

Are you a data governance professional who enjoys working directly with stakeholders to solve real data problems?

As Senior Analyst, Data Governance – Investments, you’ll sit within the Data Services team and play a key role supporting the implementation and uplift of data governance practices across the Investment domain. You’ll work closely with business, data and technology teams to embed strong data controls, improve data quality and drive a more mature, data‑driven culture.

This is a highly hands‑on role. You’ll be working directly with stakeholders to understand data flows, assess impacts, manage change and ensure governance frameworks are translated into practical, usable outcomes. You’ll be involved across a range of activities, from practical implementation of Data Governance requirements and supporting governance forums, through to uplifting capabilities within the broader Data People Ecosystem.

This role suits someone who is comfortable operating in a dynamic, high‑change environment, and who understands that data is both a risk to be managed and an asset to be maximised.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform data impact assessments and support governance of data changes
  • Support the implementation of data governance frameworks and practices across the Investment data domain
  • Work with stakeholders to define and uplift data control environments, lineage, classifications and business glossaries
  • Monitor roll out of data governance implementation and contribute to governance reporting, forums and roadmaps focused on data maturity uplift and risk visibility
  • Collaborate across business, data and technology teams to ensure alignment, adoption and compliance with data standards

What You’ll Need

  • Strong experience in data governance or data management, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment
  • Exposure to investment data, market data vendors or investment processes (highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to work directly with stakeholders to translate governance into practical, real-world outcomes
  • Experience across key data disciplines such as data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy and security, and data controls
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with challenging stakeholders and in cross-functional teams in a project environment
  • Proficiency in one or more data governance and data management tools

  • Ability to balance risk, compliance and business value when making decisions about data
