Job Description

Purpose of your role

Reporting to the Head of Non-FX Revenue, the Senior Data & Insights Analyst will provide accurate, timely and relevant business analytics by creating reports, dashboards and presentations on analysis and insights to meet operational needs and recommend improvements. You’re here to uncover insights, surface opportunities, and build tools that accelerate decision-making across cards, payments, AP automation and more.

You’ll also bring a practical, hands-on use of AI tools to turbocharge your analysis, streamlining workflows, building predictive models, and moving faster than traditional analysts.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Non-FX Revenue. Your job is to turn noise into signal. To quantify what’s working, what’s not, and what we should double down on next. You’ll help us shape strategy, optimise through A/B testing, micro & macro changes, improve adoption, and influence product direction.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves diving into messy data, finding patterns, automating workflows, and helping a high-growth team move faster.

You will also contribute to the development and evolution of OFX’s data framework including data governance, metadata management, quality management, business intelligence, and the practice of analytics and data science. The Data & Insights Analyst will positively contribute to the Data & Insights practice at OFX, sharing knowledge and learnings to build consistency with how OFX discusses, promotes and reports on data & insights.

What you do

Partnering for Growth

  • Act as the right hand to the Head of Non-FX Revenue. Your insights will directly shape GTM strategy, pricing, product adoption, and commercial execution
  • Build and maintain dashboards, models and data products that uncover growth opportunities across our client lifecycle
  • Run tactical deep dives on specific campaigns, client segments, regions, and channels to identify friction or upside
  • Present actionable insights in simple, punchy formats that drive decisions

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Own and refine cohort analysis, retention curves, CAC payback, conversion metrics and NRR models
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Code Interpreter, AutoML, or similar) to enhance data cleaning, summarisation, and insight generation
  • Build lightweight predictive models (e.g. churn risk, propensity to upgrade, lead scoring) using Python or available AutoML platforms
  • Translate raw data into commercially meaningful outcomes, with clarity, not complexity

 Automation & Tooling

  • Use SQL, Python and visualisation tools to automate repetitive tasks
  • Set up alerts and monitors so we know when something breaks or spikes
  • Build scalable artefacts, not throwaway reports
  • Work with our data engineering and platform team to make sure what you build is sustainable

Teamwork and stakeholder engagement

  • Display a passion for working collaboratively
  • Be able to engage successfully with other members of the broader analyst team contributing the development of a ‘Centre of Excellence’
  • Work as part of agile delivery teams where required
  • Be able to effectively provide and constructively accept feedback from team members
  • Advocate for the Analytics team, working on the Data & Analytics practices, communicating business unit strategies and priorities to help delivery on the key business priorities

Qualifications

What you bring

To Succeed in this role, you will be team orientated, resilient and results driven, be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously. You will also have:

  • 5-8+ years’ experience in a data analyst or product analytics role, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or fast-paced commercial environments
  • Advanced SQL skills and comfort querying large datasets
  • Demonstratable use & interest in AI
  • Excellent Python (not R) for data manipulation and modelling
  • Experience with Google BigQuery (preferred) or similar cloud data warehouses
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with dbt, Looker, or similar tooling
  • Clear, structured thinking. In other words: you can tell a data story that lands
  • Commercial mindset: you know what metrics matter to revenue, not just what looks good in a report
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exposure or experience with ML development and operationalization of ML models

Experience in insurance or financial sectors will be well regarded, but not essential.
