Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient automation of deployment processes.

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software delivery process and promote DevOps culture
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and best practices, and continuously improve processes and infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in DevOps or a similar prior role
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure in an enterprise level environment
  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (ArgoCD,Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.)
  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway) is preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, Security Groups) is preferred
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is preferred
  • Experience in automating deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent certification
