What you’ll doPlatform Engineering
Build and improve compute platforms (Compute Engine, managed instance groups, GKE, container runtimes)
Implement and enhance GCP networking components (VPCs, peering, Private Service Connect, Cloud DNS, load balancing)
Contribute to secure and scalable network topologies across environments
Implement agreed platform patterns and standards for compute and networking
Delivery & Operations
Deliver platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Improve automation and CI/CD pipelines for platform changes
Work with senior engineers to improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements
Collaboration & Enablement
Work alongside senior platform engineers and architects on design and rollout
Support application teams consuming compute and networking capabilities
Contribute documentation, examples, and runbooks
Provide pragmatic feedback to help evolve platform standards over time, including incident response and SLO ownership
3–7+ years experience in cloud or platform engineering
Hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong understanding of cloud compute and networking fundamentals
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Familiarity with GCP networking primitives (VPCs, firewall rules, private connectivity)
Comfortable operating Linux-based workloads
Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
Exposure to GKE or Kubernetes in production
Familiarity with multi-project or landing zone–style setups
Experience in high-availability or security-conscious environments
