Job Summary

Join the Rating and Charging chapter, as a Senior Domain Expert, where you will be able to flex your extensive DevOps Engineering + leadership skills, and have end to end exposure to design, develop, and improve solutions enabling software-defined networks and API-driven connectivity.
Your work will support Telstra’s Connected Future 30 strategy, driving network monetisation with advanced features and DevOps best practices.

What you’ll do 

  • Lead agile design and development of Rating and Charging platforms. 

  • Work with TPOs, Product Managers, and technical leads on quarterly OKRs. 

  • Promote automation, CI/CD, and quality practices. 

  • Integrate vendor solutions and support lifecycle technologies. 

  • Provide governance support, critical network problem-solving, and mentorship. 

  • Manage major projects, coach peers, and influence long-term strategy. 

About you 

Essential skills & experience: 

  • You're Australia based with full working rights (PR or Citizenship needed)

  • Demonstrable Rating + Charging experience, to help you hit the ground running as a Senior Domain Expert in this area

  • 5+ years in software/telecom engineering, strong DevOps and agile delivery background. 

  • Bachelor’s in Software or Telecom Engineering (or equivalent). 

  • Experience in API development, architecture, and E2E solution design. 

  • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk, NewRelic, PowerBI. 

  • Skills in Requirement Analysis, Application Design, Programming, Webservices, Design Thinking. 

  • Leadership and solution-oriented approach for complex projects. 

 Bonus points for 

  • Python/Bash scripting, Kubernetes/Docker certification. 

  • Knowledge of lifecycle systems (Prepaid/Postpaid), MATRIXX, UNICO, 5G DMC/SA/CHF/CAF, Ericsson Charging. 

  • Familiarity with DIAMETER, CAMEL, TCAP, ISUP, SIP protocols. 

  • Strong stakeholder communication and strategy experience.
