Focus of the Role

  • Technical leadership and delivery oversight across enterprise geospatial platforms, driving the design, engineering, and modernisation of ArcGIS-based solutions on cloud to support critical network and business capabilities.
  • Translate strategic and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and cloud-native GIS architectures, applications, and data solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Drive enterprise GIS asset management programs on cloud, enabling scalable network inventory, asset lifecycle management, and data-driven operational intelligence.
  • Lead end-to-end platform evolution, including cloud migration, DevOps enablement, system integration, and operational uplift, ensuring strong SDLC governance, platform reliability, and engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and delivery partners to translate business priorities into executable roadmaps and measurable outcomes, while fostering continuous improvement, mentoring engineers, and driving innovation across Esri, AWS, and automation practices.

What You’ll Do

Success in the role is demonstrated by:

  • Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing GIS platforms on Cloud that support critical network and business operations.
  • Lead the design, engineering, and modernisation of ArcGIS Enterprise and geospatial applications aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Successfully drive cloud migration and platform uplift initiatives, ensuring smooth transition, minimal disruption, and improved performance.
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices to enhance deployment quality, release speed, and environment consistency.
  • Translate complex business and network requirements into robust geospatial solutions, data models, and applications.
  • Establish strong SDLC governance, ensuring quality across design, development, testing, and production support.
  • Improve platform reliability and operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning.
  • Build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships, effectively influencing decisions and delivering business-aligned outcomes.
  • Mentor and uplift engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive innovation in geospatial, GeoAI, cloud, and automation practices, enabling future-ready GIS capabilities.

About You

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, resolving complex geospatial, cloud, and network engineering challenges
  • Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and spatial insight generation to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, influencing both technical and business outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across GIS (Esri suite) , cloud, DevOps, data, and network teams
  • Deep understanding of data governance, spatial data models, and enterprise data infrastructure
  • Advanced software engineering capability across API design, frontend (ReactJS), backend services, scripting, and database development
  • Strong leadership in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and engineering excellence frameworks
  • Experience driving Agile delivery and continuous improvement, uplifting engineering maturity, and team performance
  • Expert in cloud-native architecture on AWS, including scalability, resilience, cost optimisation, and secure design
  • Solid understanding of telecom network systems, enabling GIS integration for network planning, coverage, and asset intelligence
  • Skilled in vendor solution evaluation and standards governance, particularly within the Esri ecosystem
  • Strong capability in algorithm design, automation, and optimisation, improving efficiency and platform performance
