This is a 12 month full-time contract/secondment position.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager - Capital & Corporate Advisory, you will play a key role in supporting the transition of activities for finance transformation, accounting/reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis, and governance of Endeavour’s Group Capital.

Finance Transformation

  • Lead the transition of activities for finance transformation capital planning and reporting
  • Support the implementation of Capital governance process enhancements

Capital planning and governance

  • Lead annual process for the build of capital forecasts to enable detailed insight on the business view of projected capital spend. Work closely with finance and business partners to understand underlying drivers, test assumptions and align with broader business expectations. Produce reporting by segment/business/capital category as required   
  • Provide support to annual depreciation budgets and forecasts for selected business units
  • Support development of governance processes for review and approval of significant capital investments, providing a consistent group level approach, aligned to our risk appetite and financial hurdles
  • Champion the governance of the capitalisation policy. Ensure adherence to investment framework, governance processes and delegations, in conjunction with the Senior Finance Manager Capital & Corporate advisory

Capital performance, fixed asset register & insight  

  • Robust month end closing process on all SAP & non SAP fixed asset activities to capture capital expenditure activity
  • Deliver integrity and governance around the fixed asset lifecycle, from asset creation, master data integrity, fixed asset register management, AUC reporting and asset write off process
  • Submit clear insights back to BU around fixed asset registers, depreciation movement, transfer, acquisition & disposal result
  • Review actual capital spend on a monthly basis and produce reporting and commentary for senior management including key drivers and variances to budget/forecast at a group level and by business
  • Identify opportunities to recycle or reprioritise capital based on performance insights

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in financial management experience
  • Degree qualified in financial discipline
  • CA / CPA or equivalent
  • Experience in working a large corporate or matrix organisation
  • Strong commercial acumen - able to translate business performance drivers into financial outcomes
  • Strong modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience partnering with business
  • Effective time management
  • Deals effectively with conflict
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
