About this role

This role is embedded in the business to support teams to ensure every marketing dollar and product decision is measured against clear financial outcomes and optimised to ensure we are making the right commercial decisions for Stake. Trade, Stake Super, Save and Rewards each have different economics and growth levers; this role provides the unifying finance lens,  — CAC and channel economics, value attribution & incrementality, wholesale/COGS governance, decision support, forecast and financial insight generation to help guide future outcomes — so the business grows profitably and cost drivers are understood and controlled.

You will be joining our high-performing Finance team who enables and supports our Australia, New Zealand, India and Brazil operations during an exciting hyper-growth phase. Opportunity to work in a truly customer-centric environment where innovative and seamless products and services are evolving the way Australians and Kiwis invest.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Embedded partnership: Act as a dedicated finance partner to Marketing and Product, translating financials into simple insights and helping teams understand key drivers of margin, LTV, and performance.
  • Data-driven insights: Use customer, marketing, and financial data to identify opportunities (e.g. cohorts, funnel performance, unit economics) and recommend optimisations.
  • Commercial challenge: Provide constructive challenge to plans and assumptions, highlighting risks, trade-offs, and improving decision quality.
  • Decision enablement: Empower teams to move quickly by setting financial guardrails, KPIs, and decision frameworks that balance speed with control.
  • Forecasting & planning: Own forecasting for marketing and margins, including scenario analysis and long-term planning to guide investment decisions.
  • Financial storytelling: Translate performance into clear narratives explaining results, drivers, and recommended actions for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Prioritisation & allocation: Partner with Product, Marketing and commercial leadership to prioritise the roadmap and allocate resources (headcount, budgets etc) based on quantified financial impact, marginal ROI and strategic fit. Build simple prioritisation frameworks and decision matrices, run trade-off analysis, and recommend resource shifts that maximise margin, LTV/CAC outcomes and improved financial return.
  • Reporting & data integrity: Build and maintain a reliable single source of truth for financial and performance metrics with strong automation.
  • Coaching and Capability building: Build commercial acumen across the business and upskill the finance team to uplift commercial literacy and adoption of finance frameworks.
A bit about you
  • 5+ years in FP&A, commercial finance, or marketing finance with experience embedded in growth/marketing teams (fintech, marketplace, consumer finance or high-growth tech preferred).
  • Strong commercial modelling capability to be able to provide decision support and scenario analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience building CAC/LTV frameworks, channel and product attribution, and translating them into business decisions.
  • Deep commercial curiosity, ability to simplify complex models and teach non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong communication & storytelling skills with experience presenting to senior marketing/product leaders as well as C-suite.
  • Comfortable working with Data/Analytics and writing technical requirements for building a reliable Single source of truth for use by Finance and beyond. Strong analytical toolkit: advanced Excel, SQL advantageous, and experience with Hex beneficial.
