We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of the financial accounting for our WA operations. This is a key role within the Finance team, partnering closely with the WA business and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights that support sound commercial decision-making.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in month-end delivery, joint venture reporting, and continuous process improvement across a fast-paced and collaborative environment.


This is a full-time role based in Alexandria with Flexible work arrangements – (currently working from the office a minimum of 3 days per week).

More Specifically you will:

 

  • Own end-to-end financial accounting for WA operations

  • Deliver month-end accounting within set deadlines

  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly

  • Analyse and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods

  • Present WA financial results to the Senior Finance team

  • Calculate and manage doctor remuneration in line with contractual arrangements (employee and contractor doctors)

  • Liaise with JV partners across two WA Joint Ventures

  • Prepare quarterly finance packs for WA Joint Venture board meetings

  • Support monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities

  • Partner with key WA stakeholders to stay across operational and financial developments

  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance insights

  • Assist with the annual audit process

  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required

  • Strong technical capability in financial accounting and reporting

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex financial and operational concepts

  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
