The opportunity

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role plays an important part in keeping Atomi’s financial operations running smoothly. You’ll help ensure accurate reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support the day-to-day financial management of the business.

You’ll also oversee the Accounts Receivable function and an offshore team who support month-end processes and transactional activities.

This is a broad role within a small, well-supported team. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing commercial insight while ensuring the integrity and reliability of our financial data.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety, working across teams, and contributing to business outcomes - not just technical reporting. You’ll bring strong communication skills, a solid foundation in financial reporting, and a mindset focused on improving processes and strengthening financial operations.

What you'll do

    Financial reporting

    • Support the month-end close process and preparation of monthly management results

    • Assist with board reporting and ad hoc financial analysis

    • Maintain oversight of group and cost centre P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting

    • Monitor and manage working capital performance

    • Stakeholder management

      • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, and Product to translate financial data into actionable insights

      • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes

      • Assist with business case development, financial modelling, and investment analysis to support growth initiatives

      • Financial controls & governance

        • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, particularly the order-to-cash cycle

        • Provide guidance and mentorship to the offshore support team, including oversight of invoicing, collections, and credit control

        • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks aligned across the organisation.

        • Process improvement & systems

          • Drive improvements in reporting processes, month-end close procedures, documentation standards, and data quality

          • Support finance transformation initiatives, including digital and AI-driven improvements

          • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance systems and processes,

What you'll bring

    • Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification

    • Big 4 experience combined with industry exposure highly regarded

    • Experience in SaaS environments, particularly subscriptions and billing models, is preferred

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels

    • Experience with Xero, HubSpot and Chargebee will be highly regarded
