The Senior Fraud Analyst position supports our fraud prevention and risk mitigation strategy across all markets. 
This role is responsible for identifying fraudulent activity, implementing preventative measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance fraud detection capabilities. 
Responsiblities:
  • Support the Global Fraud Manager in the development and implementation of the fraud prevention strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. 
  • Able to work under minimal supervision leading fraud related initiatives and projects across the business. 
  • Able to present and discuss fraud with senior stakeholders, demonstrating strong subject matter expertise. 
  • Able to deputise for the Global Fraud Manager and support senior leadership as required.   
  • Monitor transactions across multiple sales channels (e-commerce, in-store, app) to identify fraudulent activity. 
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure fraud prevention effectiveness. 
  • Lead investigations into fraudulent transactions, chargebacks, and account takeovers, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. 
  • Manage fraud alerts, chargebacks, and disputes, including submitting evidence and liaising with payment providers. 
  • Review and assess suspicious return/refund activity, including first-party abuse and wardrobing behaviour. 
  • Analyse fraud trends and emerging threats, providing insights to inform risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI) for fraud KPIs and operational insights. 
  • Establish and maintain fraud prevention policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. 
  • Educate and train internal teams on fraud risks, prevention techniques, and reporting protocols. 
  • Participate in the implementation and testing of new payment methods and fraud mitigation strategies. 
Skills
Essential: 
  • Proven experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or financial crime investigation, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry. 
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection tools, payment processing, and chargeback management. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify fraud patterns. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to act decisively under pressure. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing transactions and customer behaviours. 
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Proactive and positive attitude with a continuous improvement approach to processes and fraud prevention strategy. 
  • Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with SQL and Snowflake. 
Desirable: 
  • Experience working with rule and machine learning based fraud prevention platforms such as Ravelin, Forter or Riskified is highly desirable. 
  • Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks in the UK and Ireland. 
  • Familiarity with Power BI 
  • Supervisory and/or Managerial experience. 
  • Strong Payments knowledge including PDS2, SCA and optimisation modelling. 
  • Industry awareness and presence enabling effective consideration of ideas and approaches from peers.
