We are seeking a high-performing and commercially minded Senior Fund Analyst to join our Sydney team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a portfolio of ESR-managed funds, partnering closely with Funds Management, Asset Management, and Finance teams to drive performance and support investment decision-making. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will play a key role in financial modelling, fund analysis, and investor reporting, contributing to the delivery of strategic initiatives and portfolio growth across the business.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fund financial models, ensuring accurate forecasting of cash flows, capital requirements, and investment performance
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making and optimise fund outcomes
  • Support the preparation of annual business plans, quarterly reporting, and investor deliverables
  • Partner with Fund Managers, Asset Management, Development, and Capital Transactions teams to evaluate acquisitions, developments, leasing, and divestments
  • Contribute to the development of fund and asset-level investment strategies and key initiatives
  • Assist with capital management initiatives, including debt and funding strategies
  • Undertake market research and analyse relevant economic and real estate data to inform investment decisions
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with investors and service providers


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and approach: 

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, real estate, or a related discipline
  • Approximately 3 - 6+ years’ relevant experience across funds management, real estate, investment banking, advisory, or a related field
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and experience in real estate forecasting tools
  • Experience preparing high-quality presentations and reports (PowerPoint)
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within real assets, property, or funds management is highly regarded but not essential
  • Comfortable leveraging technology, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency and output
