Profile Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 2+ years delivering production Go (Golang) microservices with enterprise clients
- Strong AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, KMS, VPC).
- Observability and reliability instincts.
- Test-first discipline: unit, contract, and integration tests as first-class deliverables – not retrofitted.
- Hands-on daily use of AI-native engineering tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor – with concrete examples of workflow uplift.
- Strong written and spoken English; effective collaboration across Manila and Melbourne time zones.
- Desirable skills / nice to have
- Able to work from the Outsourcey Manila facility on provisioned devices under LFS security standards.
- Card issuing, payments, or core banking domain exposure
- Experience with event-driven patterns
- Exposure to regulated Australian financial services delivery.
- Contributions to internal engineering standards or AI engineering playbooks.
- Author and extend infrastructure as code and configuration for each service, following existing LFS patterns.
Core responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and operate Go microservices.
- Implement secure-by-design controls in code, input validation, encryption in transit and at rest, secrets handling through LFS-approved mechanisms.
- Own the full lifecycle of your stories: design, build, test, deploy to non-prod.
- Participate in code review as an active reviewer and author; enforce code provenance markers for AI-assisted work and human review sign-off.
- Collaborate daily with the BA on story clarity and with the QA Engineer on test scenarios, test data, and automation hooks.
- Drive hands-on AI-assisted delivery using tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor; contribute to the squad’s 35% delivery uplift narrative with concrete evidence.
- Participate in iteration ceremonies in Manila and contribute to showcase demonstrations.
