What will you be doing?

As a Senior Insights Consultant, you will partner with leading FMCG organisations to convert complex data into sustained commercial growth. Acting as the lead across a portfolio of key clients, you will leverage your understanding of consumer behaviour, category dynamics, and retail purchasing trends to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and influence strategic decision making.

This role combines client leadership, commercial accountability, and people management. You will lead and develop a small team, ensuring high-quality delivery while supporting team members through coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.

You will lead insight development end-to-end, synthesising market trends, shopper behaviour, and consumer data into clear, commercially focused narratives. Through strong storytelling, analytical thinking, and a consultative approach, you will help clients make informed decisions, unlock growth opportunities, and drive measurable business outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong client partnerships, leading people, and delivering impactful insights that create real commercial value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop two direct reports, providing mentorship, support, and development opportunities
  • Translate complex client business challenges into clearly defined project briefs
  • Lead the delivery of compelling, insight driven recommendations using multiple data sources to drive measurable commercial outcomes and ROI
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
  • Own and execute strategic account plans, ensuring alignment to client priorities, long term growth objectives, and evolving business needs
  • Deliver engaging presentations and data-driven storytelling that influence decision makers and drive action
  • Identify, develop, and convert new commercial opportunities, positioning Circana’s solutions as integral to client success
  • Oversee contract renewals, invoicing and revenue targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in insights, category management, account management, market research, consulting, or commercial roles within FMCG, retail, or related industries
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to synthesise complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and building trusted partnerships with stakeholders
  • Strong account management and client-facing experience, with a consultative approach to solving business challenges
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver value for both clients and the business
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous people leadership experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong leadership potential and experience mentoring, coaching, or leading project teams will also be considered
  • Experience leading through change and helping clients adapt to new insights, strategies, or ways of working
  • Highly developed planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills

Circana Behaviours

As well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviours sit at the core of our organisation. Therefore, we always look for people who can continuously champion these behaviours throughout the business within their day-to-day role:

  • Stay Curious: Being hungry to learn and grow, always asking the big questions
  • Seek Clarity: Embracing complexity to create clarity and inspire action
  • Own the Outcome: Being accountable for decisions and taking ownership of our choices
  • Centre on the Client: Relentlessly adding value for our customers
  • Be a Challenger: Never complacent, always striving for continuous improvement
  • Champion Inclusivity: Fostering trust in relationships engaging with empathy, respect and integrity
  • Commit to each other: Contributing to making Circana a great place to work for everyone
