About the role
We’re looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to support the quality, accuracy and timeliness of investment and portfolio data across Perpetual’s asset management business. This role supports Equities, Fixed Income and Diversified portfolios and works closely with internal investment teams and external service providers.

You’ll be hands-on with daily reconciliations, transaction processing and exception management, playing a key role in ensuring portfolios operate efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain enterprise-wide investment and portfolio data across multiple asset classes

  • Perform daily portfolio reconciliations between front and back-office systems

  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, trade flow and static data issues

  • Escalate issues to third-party service providers where required

  • Ensure accurate and timely transaction instructions to internal and external stakeholders

  • Respond to transaction-related queries within agreed timeframes

  • Proactively identify and manage operational risks

  • Contribute to process improvements and project initiatives

About you

You’ll have experience in investment operations or middle office within financial services, with a strong understanding of investment products and operational processes. You’re detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience in Investment Operations or Middle Office within financial services

  • Strong understanding of investment securities across asset classes

  • Exposure to OTC securities, corporate actions and trade matching

  • Knowledge of FX, derivatives and domestic/foreign investments

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience with Bloomberg, Charles River or similar systems

  • SQL and VBA highly regarded  

  • Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a team environment
