The opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Lead – Risk & Reporting to support Enterprise Operations (EO) across risk, governance, and reporting activities. This role plays a key part in driving first line risk management across AUSPAC, with a strong focus on insights, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

You’ll partner closely with leadership, providing meaningful risk reporting and analysis, while helping with uplifting risk practices and supporting key governance initiatives.

About QBE

At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.

We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.

What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.

Your new role

In this role, you will own first line risk reporting and support governance, delivering clear, data-driven insights that strengthen risk visibility and decision-making across AUSPAC.

Operating as part of the Executive Operations team, you will support enterprise-wide risk governance while partnering closely with Enterprise Operations (EO) as a key business area.

  • Deliver high-quality risk reporting and insights, including monthly and quarterly outputs for EO and AUSPAC stakeholders
  • Coordinate the management and governance of incidents, issues, and remediation activity, ensuring effective tracking and visibility
  • Support core risk processes (e.g. risk declarations, maturity assessments, AI and Data Governance)
  • Develop and enhance centralised risk reporting and analytics using Insight and Power BI, with a focus on clarity, insight, and visual impact
  • Support KRI reporting and governance, maintaining effective stakeholder engagement across business units
  • Contribute to embedding risk frameworks, governance practices, and risk culture initiatives across AUSPAC
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for strategic, cross-functional, and executive-level initiatives

About you

  • Experience in risk and compliance within a corporate environment (general insurance knowledge preferred)
  • Strong data and reporting capability, including Power BI and system-based data extraction and translation into visual story-telling
  • Sound understanding of risk management frameworks and governance practices
  • Experience managing incidents, issues, and remediation, with a focus on governance and delivery outcomes
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Proven ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments and navigate ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and challenge across first and second line
  • Self-driven, with the ability to take ownership and deliver outcomes independently
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with experience enhancing reporting, processes, or governance practices
