Senior Learning & Development Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Learning & Development team in Sydney and are currently looking for a Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join the team. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract providing parental leave cover.

The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the Learning & Development Manager and wider team to design and implement  programs that align with company goals and objectives. This position is responsible for identifying learning needs, facilitating internal training sessions and managing L&D projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage People & Culture service desk tickets, assess requirements, and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture to support stakeholder learning and capability needs.
  • Identify and recommend conferences and workshops aligned with the capability and skills framework.
  • Partner with People Partners to develop managers and leaders, empowering them to lead their teams effectively.
  • Design and facilitate bespoke internal training sessions and workshops as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors to plan VGW Essentials and VGW Academy training calendars within budget.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Analyse key reports and support Engagement Survey initiatives.
  • Define and track business metrics to evaluate program success.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline is desirable.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Learning & Development Specialist or similar role.
  • Self-sufficient and experience working in the technology, gaming or adjacent industries is desirable. 
  • Strong understanding of organisational behaviour, change management principles, and adult learning theory.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
