We’re partnering with a large Australian enterprise with an extensive technology and services footprint, seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month contract.


This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within a busy commercial legal function, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a steady flow of work and close business engagement.


The Opportunity

You will join a team supporting a high volume of commercial and technology contracting activity, primarily across SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, and vendor arrangements.


The business operates at pace, with commercially minded stakeholders who value clear, practical advice and quick turnaround times.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a high volume of commercial agreements
  • Advising on SaaS, cloud, and software licensing arrangements
  • Supporting supplier, outsourcing, and vendor contracts across operational teams
  • Working closely with procurement on vendor onboarding and contracting workflows
  • Managing multiple competing priorities across the business
  • Providing consistent support across BAU commercial matters


About You

  • Minimum 6+ years’ PQE in IT/Technology contracts including SaaS, Cloud and Software licensing
  • Comfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-moving environment
  • Able to step in quickly and work autonomously
  • Confident engaging directly with stakeholders and making commercially sound decisions
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
