We are seeking an Sr. Lending Operations QA analyst as part of the Lending team in Toast. You will work with other data analysts, operations managers, operational risk leads and other leaders to help define, implement and maintain robust processes and quality assurance practices across the lending products at Toast. Understanding of operational quality assurance concepts and practices, critical thinking, and a process centric and data driven mindset is key to success in this role.


About the roll*


As Toast is expanding its Lending business, there are various new products and financial services on the horizon for the organization to support our community. The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Operate as a first line of defense on all operational aspects of the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze lending processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, methodologies, and best practices to optimize lending operations.
  • Provide recommendations for process enhancements and workflow automation to minimize errors and increase productivity.
  • Maintain effective communication with operational teams, compliance, and management on findings and implementing corrective actions
  • Conduct thorough reviews of loan documentation, applications, and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform audits on loan files to verify data integrity, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, and deficiencies in lending operations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement industry best practices in process design, monitoring and reporting


Do you have the right ingredients?

  • 6-8 years of experience in a data and/or process centric role preferably in a financial product like lending
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Comfortable working in SQL/Snowflake/Excel/G-Suite
  • Passionate about building robust and scalable processes and automation
  • Strong understanding of lending processes, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.
