About this role

As a Senior Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory engagements while contributing to the continued growth of the practice. You'll work closely with clients and senior stakeholders, lead engagement teams, mentor junior team members and help identify new business opportunities.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team that specialises in helping clients navigate complex accounting and reporting issues. Our work spans regulatory reporting, technical accounting advice, transactions and restructures, accounting policy development, audit readiness and remediation projects.

You will have visibility across the entire engagement lifecycle, working closely with senior client stakeholders while supporting the development of managers and consultants within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead complex accounting advisory engagements from planning through to delivery.
  • Analyse technical accounting issues and develop practical solutions that balance reporting, compliance and commercial objectives.
  • Review and interpret accounting standards, contracts, financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review high-quality client reports, technical papers and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CFOs, finance leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement teams, providing coaching, mentoring and development support to junior team members.
  • Manage engagement budgets, work-in-progress and commercial outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Support proposal development and strategic growth opportunities across the practice.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, market initiatives and team development activities.

Skills & experience

We're looking for a commercially minded accounting professional who combines technical excellence with strong client relationship and leadership skills.

  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Approximately 8-10 years' relevant experience in accounting advisory, audit or a related professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, AASB and financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex client engagements.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a professional services environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • An interest in business development and growing client relationships.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
