Job Description

Join a growing, collaborative Corporate Tax team where you will work directly with partners and senior client stakeholders on complex, commercially significant matters for leading Australian and multinational organisations. As a Senior Manager, you will have the autonomy to lead key relationships and engagements, shape market opportunities, develop high-performing teams and build a future career opportunities.

Our Corporate Tax team helps organisations navigate their most important tax challenges, from major transactions and restructures to tax governance, controversy, financing and cross-border investment. Drawing on deep technical expertise and KPMG’s connected Australian and global specialist network, we deliver practical, strategic advice that creates value beyond compliance.

Your Opportunity

As a senior leader within the Corporate Tax team, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, understand their strategic priorities and identify opportunities for KPMG to create value.
  • Lead complex, high-profile engagements and deliver clear, commercially focused advice on significant Australian and cross-border tax matters.
  • Own engagement strategy, quality, risk management and commercial outcomes across a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop new market opportunities, contribute to proposals and thought leadership, and strengthen your external profile and client portfolio.
  • Collaborate across KPMG’s Australian and global network to bring the right specialists and perspectives to each client challenge.
  • Lead, coach and sponsor high-performing teams, creating an inclusive environment in which people can grow and succeed.

Your Experience

We value diversity of thought, background and experience. You may have developed your career in professional services, legal practice, an in-house tax team or another relevant advisory environment. To succeed in this role, you are likely to bring:

  • Substantial experience advising on Australian corporate and international tax matters, supported by strong technical knowledge and commercial judgement.
  • A demonstrated record of leading complex engagements and building enduring relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience developing people, managing engagement economics and contributing to business development and market growth.
  • The ability to produce and present clear, well-researched and commercially focused advice.
  • Australian tax experience, or relevant overseas experience together with the capability and commitment to transition quickly into the Australian tax environment.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in law, commerce, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
  • Professional tax, legal or accounting qualifications are highly regarded.
