Retail Banking Services Finance forms part of the Financial Services business unit whose vision is to make a difference on the things that matter. The team provides business performance information, financial analysis and advice on the Home Lending product portfolio to support operational and strategic decisions.

The RBS Finance team operates as a business partner integrated with the management of the product and distribution businesses yet with a one step removed status to promote objectivity and independence of analysis and advice. Major work functions are planning, reporting and decision support to line management to promote operational and financial efficiency, productivity delivery and customer service quality.

Do work that matters

The RBS Performance Management team is responsible for providing financial support and advice to the RBS business, with the goal of being a trusted business partner through providing valuable advice that drives business performance.

The RBS Planning & Decision Support team sits within the Performance Management team and is responsible for the delivery annual business plans, monthly forecasts, competitor analysis together with financial modelling and advice to drive RBS performance and strategy.

Customer Engagement & Digital (CED) is a Line of Business (LoB) within Retail Banking Services (RBS) that focuses on building and delivering digital assets, managing customer communications, improving the customer experience across all digital channels and manages CBA’s customer recognition and loyalty program (CommBank Yello).

The Senior Manager – CED Finance Business is the key Finance role supporting the CED business unit within the Retail Banking Division of CBA. 

We’re interested in hearing from people who will aspire to

  • Delivering regular business insights on the CED distribution channel, including critical insights on customer and CommBank Yello.
  • Conducting financial modelling and analysis required to guide optimal business decisions including FTE reporting, expenses and new products.  
  • Facilitating the planning, cascading, and maintenance of FTE and expense targets.
  • Building and maintaining productive relations with finance and non-finance stakeholders including RBS Finance teams and CED business partners  
  • Other ad hoc reviews/ deep dives into business/ financial performance as required
  • Preparing and presenting of outputs/ conclusions as required

Other qualities you may possess include

  • Banking knowledge is desirable
  • Graduate qualifications in a numerate discipline preferably finance, business or economics
  • Strong commercial, financial and/or management accounting skills
  • Strong ability to manage and present to senior stakeholders including Executive General Manager level
  • Proven track record of understanding industry trends and translating and linking to business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
