About the Role
Lead the delivery and embedding of insightful data analytics that support informed decision-making across UOW. Combining strategic leadership, business insight and technical expertise, you will guide the University’s analytics roadmap, build trusted stakeholder partnerships and help strengthen a data-driven culture across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and embed analytics into business processes, supporting change and prioritising work to deliver outcomes aligned with University objectives.
- Oversee the design and delivery of self-service analytics solutions and innovative data products and insights.
- Manage projects, requests and enhancements that support the Enterprise Data roadmap and evolving stakeholder needs.
- Lead a multidisciplinary analytics team, balancing workload, resources and project schedules while building capability and knowledge sharing.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and domain experts to translate complex business challenges into actionable, trusted insights.
About the Team
The role sits within Enterprise Data in the Financial Services & Enterprise Data Division and reports to the Director, Enterprise Data. You will lead Senior Data Engagement and Analytics Partners and Data Insights and Analytics Specialists, working with senior leaders, data custodians, system owners, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver well-governed data and analytics that enable the University’s academic, research and community objectives.
What You’ll Bring
You will bring a strong combination of analytics leadership, technical knowledge and stakeholder engagement, including:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or data and analytics experience in higher education.
- Extensive experience leading the delivery of data analytics and insights functions, including managing teams with competing priorities and demand.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive modelling.
- Knowledge of data technologies including data warehousing, visualisation and analysis tools, with the ability to apply broad university data knowledge to ensure accurate insights.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and build productive stakeholder relationships.

• Level 8/9 | $123,283 - $152,959 + 17% superannuation
