Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems & IT Operations

Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems & IT Operations is accountable for the reliable, secure and

compliant operation of the systems and services that run our commercial, finance and workplace

technology. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Systems & IT Operations, this role directly leads the

Enterprise Systems Operations team and the IT Operations team, and owns IT Service Management

(ITSM) practice — change, incident and problem management, access governance and audit compliance

— across the broader technology portfolio.

This is an operations leadership role that pairs delivery rigour with hands-on operational depth. The

Senior Manager sets and continuously improves the operating standards that keep business-critical

platforms stable, and provides steady operational leadership through periods of significant change —

including platform migrations, workplace technology transitions, application rationalisation and the

alignment of systems and practices with CoStar Group a Microsoft 365-run organisation.

What you’ll do

Operational Excellence & System Health

  • Accountable for the stability, availability and performance of enterprise systems and supporting integrations, maintaining and improving system health baselines for critical services.
  • Owns the production support model across the Enterprise Systems Operations and IT Operations
  • Drives proactive, preventative operations reduces recurring incidents and defect backlog through root-cause analysis, monitoring and observability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establishes and reports on operational KPIs

ITSM, Change Management & Compliance

  • Owns the ITSM framework across the biztech portfolio — change, incident, problem and request management — ensuring consistent, well-governed practices regardless of which team delivers the work.
  • Accountable for compliance and audit readiness for in-scope systems, including change controls, segregation of duties and periodic user access reviews, partnering with Finance, Cyber Resilience and external auditors.

Transition, Migration & Service Delivery

  • Leads operational readiness, cutover support and hypercare for major platform and workplace technology transitions.
  • Manages key vendor and managed-service relationships, holding them accountable to service levels and value.

People Leadership & Collaboration

  • Directly manages the Enterprise Systems Operations and IT Operations teams

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 8+ years' experience in enterprise systems, IT operations or technology service delivery, including
  • operating business-critical applications.
  •  The technical capability to perform the operational and systems work they manage — enough hands
  • on depth to set standards, make sound technical judgements, and credibly guide the team.
  •  Significant people management experience (4+ years), leading operations or support teams and
  • developing emerging leaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITSM/ITIL practices — change, incident, problem and access management — and demonstrated ownership of an operational control environment.
  • Experience supporting and operating enterprise platforms such as CRM, billing/ERP and integrations.
  • Experience with IT compliance and audit, including financial-systems controls, segregation of duties and user access reviews.

Nice to have

  • ITIL certification; relevant cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or platform certifications.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technology, including enterprise device management.
  • Experience operating in a regulated, publicly listed environment and through M&A or platform integration.
  • SOX or ISO 27001 compliance experience.
