Job Description

  • Lead the strategy, governance and continuous improvement of the Group’s business resilience and continuity capabilities, ensuring preparedness across the organisation.
  • Drive enterprise resilience programs, assurance activities and contingency planning initiatives that strengthen operational readiness and support effective response and recovery outcomes.
  • Full-time permanent role based at our Mascot Campus

The Senior Manager, Group Business Resilience leads the development and ongoing enhancement of the Group’s Business Resilience Management System, ensuring resilience frameworks, policies, standards and governance processes remain effective, compliant and aligned to business priorities. The position provides enterprise wide oversight of business continuity, resilience assurance and compliance activities, supporting the organisation’s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption.

As a key leader within Group Business Resilience, you will drive resilience strategy, contingency planning, technology enablement, exercise governance and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organisational readiness. You will also oversee critical supplier relationships, resilience programs and performance frameworks, ensuring resilience capabilities remain robust, measurable and fit for purpose.

Working closely with operational resilience and emergency response leaders, you will help translate strategic resilience objectives into practical outcomes, embedding effective preparedness, response and recovery capabilities across the organisation.

You'll have:

  • Extensive experience in business resilience, business continuity, governance, risk or compliance roles within complex, regulated environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Crisis Management, Safety Systems or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise designing and implementing governance frameworks, management systems and assurance programs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and industry standards relating to business resilience, continuity, safety and compliance.
  • Experience leading compliance programs, regulatory engagements and audits within large organisations.
  • Demonstrated success managing business continuity and crisis management programs, including continuity planning, impact assessments and resilience frameworks.
  • Experience overseeing resilience technology platforms and driving system enhancements that improve organisational preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Strategic leadership capability, with the ability to design and implement complex organisation wide programs and governance initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience partnering with senior leaders, regulators, auditors, suppliers and external industry bodies.
  • Strong communication and program management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into practical guidance, actionable insights and executive level reporting.
