A Snapshot
 
As Senior Manager, Growth Strategy, based at our North Sydney headquarters, you will report to the Associate Vice President, Energy and Land Strategy and collaborate closely with the Energy and Land Strategy Team and senior leaders across the Asia Pacific & Japan region. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by:
  • Leading strategic evaluations of new energy-driven data centre site opportunities, focusing on grid capacity, energy availability, sustainability, and regulatory alignment.
  • Contributing to the development of investor and strategic materials that shape AirTrunk’s growth narrative and inform capital deployment decisions.
  • Leveraging your background in investment banking or management consulting to deliver high-impact insights and commercial strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced growth environment.
Your Day to Day
  • Evaluate and support energy-led site selection for new data centre developments, including analysis of grid infrastructure, renewable energy access, and regulatory considerations.
  • Lead commercial modelling and strategic assessments for growth initiatives, including customer proposals and partnership structures.
  • Develop investor presentations, board materials, and strategic planning decks that communicate AirTrunk’s expansion strategy and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including energy, development, finance, and government affairs—to ensure site selection and growth strategies are commercially and technically sound.
  • Assist in the negotiation of commercial partnership terms and legal documentation for energy-related opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, scenario planning, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions and investment priorities.
Requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with experience evaluating commercial proposals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate insights into action.
  • Proven ability to create persuasive PowerPoint decks that shape strategic conversations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
