We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Senior Manager – Operations Strategy, reporting to the GM – Strategy and Transformation.

 

A bit about your role

The Senior Manager, Operations Strategy is responsible for shaping and delivering nbn’s Operations strategy, defining the future operating model, and driving multi‑year transformation plans.

This role leads the development of end‑to‑end strategies in collaboration with executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader business priorities across Strategy and Transformation, Finance, People & Culture, and Customer.

Key responsibilities include preparing strategic plans and financial forecasts, refining investment cases, advising functional strategies, and generating insights to anticipate opportunities and risks.

The position requires strong strategic problem‑solving skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders through expert guidance, high‑quality communication, and effective relationship management.

A bit about you

The role requires a strong strategic thinker with broad business acumen, deep telecommunications industry knowledge, and experience in telecom product management, sales, or related technology fields.

The successful candidate brings expertise in managing teams on complex projects, assessing broadband technologies, and conducting strategic, commercial, and infrastructure investment analysis.

They also excel at generating insights, communicating complex technical and financial concepts succinctly, and navigating ambiguity with intellectual agility and emotional awareness.

Finally, this person must work constructively across diverse teams, deliver high‑quality outcomes under pressure, and uphold nbn’s policies and safety standards while demonstrating humility, a positive mindset, and strong leadership capabilities.
