Stake is looking for a Senior Markets Commentator to join us within a flexible hybrid working model!

We’re an Australian investing platform that helps ambitious people confidently grow their wealth. By offering seamless, immersive access to the share markets, we’ve empowered a new wave of investors. Stake has grown fast from a fintech startup into a robust financial services company. Today we have 700,000+ customers and more than A$5 billion under administration.

At Stake, we break barriers in everything we do. Just like our customers, we’re driven by ambition. Our desire for continuous growth is what creates the collaborative and high-performance environment we work in. Though we’re spread around the world, we’re a unified team moving towards a shared vision: to unleash the investor in everyone.

Join us as we continue to reshape the financial industry, inspiring investor confidence and celebrating our wins along the way.

About this role

As a Senior Markets Commentator, you'll be a leading voice on how Stake can engage Australians in the world of the markets. You’lll help people stay up-to-date with news, stories and strategies while also helping them understand more about the skill of investing and the Stake platform and products.

You’ll contribute to setting the editorial agenda and manage the delivery of written and audio-visual content that meets this agenda, from ETF deep dives to fronting analysis of market movers on social media. You’ll also have responsibility for producing work that meets the broader content marketing needs, such as SEO and content that lives within the Stake product experience.

You’ll also mentor others  to ensure the quality and impact of content is consistently high, impactful, and engaging and supports Stake’s unique positioning in the investment market.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Utilise your deep understanding of financial markets and investing to craft insightful and engaging content that resonates with both newcomers and seasoned investors alike.
  • Be the markets specialist internally, supporting the wider teams with insights and knowledge that will produce better outcomes for both Stake employees and customers.
  • Be highly proficient at delivering written content as well as being able to turn this into visual content for social media, in-app/web video and so on.
  • Mentor and support other writers and content creators, reviewing and (when needed) editing their work, while helping them grow their professional skills.
  • Own the publishing of our key newsletters and blogs, and collaborate with other teams to help remix the content for other channels.
  • Support the Growth function by writing and reviewing SEO and Lifecycle content.

A bit about you

  • Markets Storytelling: You’re skilled in breaking down markets and investing news and stories, linking them to wider culture, and telling them in a way that a retail investor can understand and relate to, no matter the platform.
  • Delivery and Distribution: Highly organised and able to mentor other content creators. You’ll ensure that the work, whether written or visual, is optimised, timely and on deadline.
  • Data interpretation: Ability to interpret and effectively communicate data, charts, graphs and statistical information to support market insights and analysis.
  • Collaboration: Experience working within a bigger team to produce exhilarating storytelling. You’ll be able to work with different disciplines such as design, brand, and SEO towards shared goals, while acting as a key driver of editorial across the business.

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
