Job Description

Our national Building Engineering team are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with Building Services experience, to support the continued growth of the business, based in Melbourne, VIC. This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects across sports, defence, aviation, healthcare and data-centre projects across Australia.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Utilise your extensive mechanical/HVAC design experience to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective mechanical design work on a variety of projects varying in size, scope and sector.
  • Lead mechanical designs and delivery for our major client projects including participating in the technical review of projects whilst working collaboratively with the broader team.
  • Assist in the mentoring and guidance of junior engineers within the local and national team including performing quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
  • Work effectively within our multi-disciplinary engineering teams on major projects including contributing to interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or related degree) with current RPEQ/RPEV and Chartership (or working towards).
  • Ideally, 4+ years mechanical design experience working for a Building Services consultancy or have significant design experience working as a Senior Engineer in the Mechanical Services field.
  • Proven knowledge and experience working within a technical design-focussed HVAC/Mechanical Engineering role.
  • Demonstrable design experience in buildings projects in Australia/NZ.
  • A track record in client management skills, project delivery and the ability to manage project priorities whilst communicating with internal and external stakeholders on key project deadlines and deliverables.

Please note, due to the nature of the projects Australian Citizenship is required, with previous or current defence clearance highly regarded.
