We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Network Engineer to join our growing IT Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for candidates with 8+ years of total IT experience, including 5-6 years of hands-on networking experience. You’ll work alongside a team of experienced engineers to support and maintain our global network infrastructure, which spans multiple data centers and 75+ office locations.

This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their networking skills in a complex, enterprise-scale environment while contributing to the performance and reliability of high-traffic platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN appliances.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex (L3) network incidents; drive triage, containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24x7 network operations; lead incident response, stakeholder communications, and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead hands-on office and data center network deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting across global locations, ensuring consistent standards and repeatable outcomes.
  • Create implementation plans for network changes (scope, risk, validation, and rollback) and execute changes during approved maintenance windows.
  • Maintain high-quality network documentation (diagrams, configs, standards, runbooks) that enables reliable operations and effective on-call response.
  • Partner with NetOps, DevOps, Security, and Service Desk to resolve incidents quickly, reduce repeat issues, and continuously improve network availability and performance.
  • Proactively identify risk and performance issues through monitoring, log analysis, and trend review; drive remediation to prevent outages and reduce alert noise.
  • Act as a hands-on operator/SME for enterprise networking technologies including (but not limited to):
    • Firewalls – Palo Alto
    • SDWAN – Palo Alto Prisma
    • Cisco Catalyst switches
    • Wireless – Aruba controllers and access points, Clearpass
    • SASE – Zscaler
    • IPAM – Infoblox
    • Network Management – LogicMonitor, OpenText, HPE UXI
    • SIEM – Azure Log Analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college (preferably in Computer Science or a related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting and operating enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN and security).
  • Deep expertise in core networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching fundamentals, and secure VPN architectures.
  • Extensive hands-on experience operating enterprise networking platforms including Cisco (switching), Aruba (wireless/NAC), Palo Alto (firewalls/Prisma SD-WAN), and equivalent technologies.
  • Proven, methodical troubleshooting skills for complex enterprise network issues, including clear incident documentation, root-cause analysis, and preventative follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing work, and take end-to-end ownership of production issues to resolution.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • One or more relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCNA, Aruba ACMP/ACMA, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting enterprise Wi-Fi and LAN/WAN environments.
  • Experience operating network monitoring/observability platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor, PRTG, SolarWinds) including alert tuning, dashboards, and proactive health reporting.
  • Familiarity with hybrid connectivity and cloud networking concepts (AWS/Azure), including VPN connectivity, routing, and security controls.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) / secure access solutions (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, Cloudflare, Cato Networks).
  • Experience working in environments with ticketing systems and change management processes.
  • Experience writing scripts in Python and/or implementing Ansible in an enterprise environment (automation, validation, or configuration management).
