We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our national team, playing a key role in delivering accurate, compliant payroll while supporting ongoing system and process improvements.
The OpportunityThis is a hands-on senior payroll role for someone who knows their craft and takes pride in getting it right.
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll delivery across multiple entities, working in a complex environment with EBAs and tight compliance requirements. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to system and process improvements, ensuring payroll continues to evolve with the business.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple entities
- Maintain SAP payroll data, including updates, increases and back pay calculations
- Deliver reconciliations, reporting and statutory obligations including tax, super and workers compensation
- Interpret awards and EBAs, ensuring compliance across all payroll activities
- Support audits and provide guidance to junior payroll team members
- Contribute to payroll system improvements, testing and enhancement initiatives where required
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and processes
- Experience working with EBAs and complex payroll environments
- SAP payroll experience is essential

- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid Excel capability and confidence working across systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on improving processes
- Clear communication and ability to simplify payroll complexity
