BizCover who?

You haven't heard of us? We dominate the SME business insurance market by having an online platform that makes comparing and buying business insurance a super easy process. Not to toot our own horn but we have been recognised in Deloitte's Fast 50 companies as one of the fastest growing technology companies and Westpac's top 20 businesses of tomorrow - #killingit

The Role:

We're looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Specialist who lives and breathes paid media and knows how to make every ad dollar work harder. You'll own paid social strategy, execution and optimisation across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and emerging channels - with a strong lean into performance social. You think in experiments, move fast and don't wait to be told what to do next. If you thrive in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment where curiosity is the standard, we want to hear from you.

The Team:

This role will sit within the Marketing Team who are responsible for building the BizCover brand with SME’s across Australia, New Zealand and the USA, ensuring we are known as the way to insure their businesses. The marketing team is made up of a combination of creatives, analytics nerds and digital enthusiasts who collaborate together to develop educational content and advertising materials across both traditional and digital media channels to build a relationship with our audience, engage them and onboard them as BizCover customers.

Requirements

Day to day responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Own paid social strategy across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and emerging channels, from brief through to optimisation.
  • Build and manage campaigns with a rigorous testing mentality, knowing when to kill, scale, or iterate, and partnering with the Creative Strategist to turn learnings into action quickly.
  • Keep pace with platform changes and AI-native ad products, bringing recommendations to the team proactively.

Audience & Creative Intelligence

  • Develop a deep understanding of our varied audiences and use that to inform targeting, messaging strategy, and creative direction.
  • Use AI tools and performance data to identify audience patterns, pressure-test assumptions, and brief the creative team with clear, actionable direction.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Act as the subject matter expert on paid media performance, partnering with the Data & Analytics team to ensure reporting is accurate, meaningful, and connected to business outcomes.
  • Go beyond surface metrics to surface the insights that drive better creative, targeting, and budget decisions.

Experimentation

  • Design and run structured experiments across creative, audience, bidding, and placement, using AI tools to speed up hypothesis generation and interpretation.
  • Build a test-and-learn rhythm the whole team can follow, not just a personal practice.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Data and Product teams to understand what is and isn't working across our 6,000 occupations, using those insights to adjust strategies and identify the biggest opportunities to scale.

Technical and inter-personal Skills:

  • Strong command of paid social platforms (Meta Ads Manager in particular) and a solid grasp of how search and social work together across the funnel. Paid search experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work within platform automation and smart bidding tools (Advantage+, PMax, etc.) while knowing when to override them and why.
  • Experience using AI tools for reporting, audience analysis, creative iteration, or experimentation, and a genuine interest in pushing that further.
  • Ability to connect paid media activity to downstream outcomes such as cost per policy, LTV, or conversion rate, not just top-of-funnel metrics.
  • Familiarity with attribution modelling, incrementality thinking. You've worked in environments where incremental impact is the standard, not just last-touch ROAS

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • A natural collaborator who makes the people around them better, whether that's a Creative Strategist, a data analyst, or a product manager.
  • Experience working with Product, Data, Analytics, and Tech teams to connect the dots between paid media activity and broader business performance, making sure every ad dollar is working as hard as it can.
  • Proactive and self-directed. You don't wait for a perfect brief to get started.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
  • Critical eye for detail with a genuine passion for quality and craft.

Benefits
  • Hybrid Flexibility: If you are located in Sydney, enjoy a flexible schedule with three days working from the office and two days from home.
  • Vibrant Team Culture: Join an energetic, supportive and rewarding workplace with plenty of fun throughout the year from end-of-year and mid-year parties to monthly drinks, cultural celebrations, and so much more!
  • Exclusive Perks: Unlock discounts and special offers through our amazing staff app.
  • Our charity program proudly partners with One&All, offering employees unique opportunities to contribute, connect and benefit from giving back.
  • Dress for Success: Business-casual dress code for a relaxed but professional vibe.
  • Room to Grow: Join a growing company that truly offers career progression opportunities.
