As a Senior Platform Engineer at RecordPoint you are an experienced professional who uses their expertise and problem-solving skills to collaboratively develop new features and improve on existing components of our SaaS platform.
You will run technical streams of work coordinating several other engineers as you research, scope, design, estimate, and implement new features across our cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security landscape. You’ll work with a highly motivated self directed team that plans out their continuous improvements to processes, addresses technical debt, and builds new cloud capabilities for our Application Engineers and customers. What you’ll do…Design, build, maintain, and operate cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, databases, networking, and security services.
Define and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform along with an internally developed infrastructure module library with an audience 10+ cross functional teams
Understand cloud network patterns and infrastructure such as Application Gateways, VNets, WAFs, NSGs, Private Links/Endpoints and internal/external routing.
Support Kubernetes based platforms using Docker, GitOps practices, and tools such as FluxCD.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable pipeline templates, and deployment patterns using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Drive large, complex projects autonomously, from technical design through to delivery planning and scheduling, implementation, rollout, and launch.
Tackle complex architectural challenges by applying standards and best practices. And applying them to guide the design and delivery of new projects.
Define and break down high-level project goals into clear technical plans, implementation, and rollout phases
Act as Technical Lead on key streams of work, guiding engineers through the entire development lifecycle
Partner across engineering teams to tackle company-wide initiatives that can span across multiple projects
Proactively identify gaps, technical debt, risks, and sources of toil, then shape them into practical streams of technical improvement work.
Work with platform controls and patterns that support security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Work with tools such as MS Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Rapid7, Drata, Tenable, and others
Support audits and risk-related activities by helping validate the security and compliance posture of the platform.
Work with our internal Risk team as well as 3rd party auditors and penetration testing groups to validate the security and compliance of the platform and product
Provide feedback and act as consultants on customer Request For Proposals and vendor selection processes

The team is distributed across Australia and the US West Coast time zones
