The Senior Product Designer is a member of the Product Design team which partners with Product and Engineering teams across the business, creating amazing products and experiences for our consumers and customers. Home to a world-class group of Product, Design and Engineering specialists, the team creates immersive, intuitive and personalised experiences, providing consumers with knowledge and confidence to make great property decisions.
This team is all about connecting people with property & being a part of every property conversation, by designing market leading digital tools, content and features. Their passion for innovation drives them to create products our consumers love.
What the role is all about
- Drive creative innovation to deliver standout products and experiences that surprise, delight, and advance our brand
- Understand and apply best practices in assessing business opportunities, user needs, market dynamics, and technical constraints
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user pain points and identify design opportunities
- Collaborate across teams and with senior stakeholders to solve problems, align goals, and champion an REA‑first mindset
- Communicate design decisions and user insights clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences
- Deliver user‑centric, commercially viable design solutions with a focus on usability, accessibility, and desirability
- Use lean design approaches to plan, prioritise, and efficiently achieve objectives
- Leverage and improve design systems while maintaining consistency through critiques and feedback culture
- Apply systems thinking and visual excellence to create high‑quality, world‑class experiences
- Track and analyse product performance over time, iterating to meet evolving business and user goals
Who we’re looking for
Someone with a few runs on the board, 5+ years of experience designing products using industry standard design tools and best practice processes
Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment to create impact
Strengths in crafting compelling visual and strategic visions
Passion for fostering a collaborative design culture that aligns with product and business goals
Strength in building partnerships, growing high-performing teams, and providing mentorship to designers is noteworthy
