About the team
At Q-CTRL, Design works across brand, product, and industrial design to shape how quantum technology is experienced.. We’re systems thinkers, storytellers, user researchers, and creatives who connect mission, product, and customer. By collaborating closely with engineering, research, product, and marketing, we translate complexity into clarity and build intuitive products our customers love. We value simplicity, usefulness, and cohesion in everything we create, and we view every interaction as a chance to deliver impact through purposeful, intentional design.

About the role
At Q-CTRL, design shapes how people experience quantum technology. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us redefine how researchers, engineers, and developers interact with one of the most impactful technologies of our time.

You’ll join a collaborative design team working across brand, product, and industrial design, reporting to the VP of Marketing and Design. In this role you'll sit at the intersection of our products, collaborating closely with other Product Designers to use your experience to help champion a systems-thinking mindset, actively contributing to the core design process, and guiding the team toward a seamless, cross-platform user journey.

This is a chance to apply your craft to a new design frontier. You’ll translate deeply technical workflows into experiences that feel clear and usable, helping quantum teams unlock the full potential of Quantum Computing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the design of a cohesive experience across Q-CTRL’s products
  • Design and deliver high-quality experiences, from early concepts to polished solutions
  • Partner with engineering, product, and research to define long-term strategy and short-term tactics
  • Conduct user research and testing to better understand our users and refine our products
  • Refine our design system to drive consistency and scalability
  • Foster a culture of design excellence, mentoring and supporting the team
  • Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training

Ideally you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of product design experience (complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products preferred)
  • A portfolio that shows strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills with a focus on quality and craft
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end on large, complex products
  • Skill in turning ambiguous problems into clear, actionable design direction
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to align stakeholders
  • Experience building and scaling design systems across products
  • A collaborative mindset with ease moving between discovery, prototyping, and execution
  • A focus on quality and the drive to help shape a high-performing design team

About Q-CTRL
Q-CTRL is the global leader in AI-powered quantum control infrastructure software. We build the tools that make quantum technology useful, solving the hardest challenges in quantum computing and quantum sensing to deliver real-world impact.
