        A LITTLE ABOUT US

Shippit is Australia’s best connected shipping software. Logistics infrastructure is a sophisticated beast, and we’re not only improving the experience for everyone involved, we’re impacting the planet in a positive manner: deliveries made through our platform are already 100% Carbon Neutral. Proudly Australian founded, we’re truly global in our approach and have the benefit of being a free moving scaleup with the security of impacting a growing industry that needs some love and attention.

        THE ROLE

We are after a Senior Product Manager to own how Shippit transforms its data into intelligence for customers and internal teams. In this newly created role, you will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Shippit’s data and analytics products — enabling retailers, carriers, and internal teams to make smarter, faster decisions through insights, automation, and AI.

This role sits at the intersection of data, product strategy, and commercial impact. You’ll work closely with product managers across domains, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure that Shippit’s data assets drive measurable value — from powering new customer features to informing strategic business decisions.

        DAY TO DAY

        • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data products, aligning them with Shippit's commercial and operational goals.
        • Prioritise new opportunities (customer value, efficiency, commercial) by deeply understanding our customers and monitoring the competitive market.
        • Partner with Engineering and Data leaders to ensure the infrastructure and governance scales with our innovation.
        • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and experimentation (especially in AI) to launch and iteration.
        • Translate business and customer needs into data-driven products, APIs, visualisations, and automations.
        • Define and measure success, linking product outcomes to commercial performance and efficiency.
        • Collaborate closely with Data, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
        • Partner with internal stakeholders (PMs, Commercial, Marketing, CX) to embed data insights and drive growth.
        • Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes clearly to all levels, from delivery teams to executives.
        • Act as the internal subject matter expert for data products and analytics.
        • Champion data literacy and a data-first mindset across the organisation.
        • Stay ahead of industry trends in logistics intelligence, applied AI, and SaaS data monetisation, translating them into actionable opportunities.

        WHAT YOU BRING

        • Extensive experience in Product Management within SaaS.
        • Experience managing data, or AI-driven products.
        • Strong technical fluency: able to discuss data pipelines, APIs, analytics stacks, and ML models with engineering and data science peers.
        • Proven ability to translate data and analytics capabilities into commercial outcomes and customer value.
        • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional collaboration across product, commercial, and operational teams.
        • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-first mindset.
        • Exceptional communication skills, able to influence and align teams behind a shared data strategy.
        • Experience in modern data ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Amplitude, or similar).
        • Familiarity with experimentation and hypothesis-driven development frameworks.
        • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with high expectations and limited structure.
        • Bonus: Experience embedding AI/ML into product workflows or decision support tools.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
