Who is Plenti?

Plenti is a fintech lender, providing faster, fairer loans by leveraging its smart technology. Plenti is a dynamic and innovative business that is growing strongly. By continuing to deliver better customer experiences, Plenti is taking market share from incumbent players in the personal lending, renewable energy, and automotive finance markets.
We are a fast moving and ambitious business that seeks to recruit smart and capable people, who can take ownership of their role to help the business thrive. With over 250 people based in Australia, Plenti is of a size where everyone can make a difference in their role and help us realise our very big ambitions as a team, as we go about building Australia’s best lender.
Plenti is a founder led business that launched in 2014, listed on the ASX since 2020 with annual revenue of over $250 million and a loan portfolio of over $3 billion.

About the role:
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the Originations platform systems that power every customer and partner channel across the business. This is a platform-first role focused on building scalable, reusable capabilities that support Consumer, Commercial, Renewables, Direct, and Partnership channels.

You will define and evolve the shared origination platform that underpins how new products are launched, partners are onboarded, and the business scales. Leading the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Plenti's end-to-end origination ecosystem, you'll drive the development of customer-facing portals, internal operational tooling, and the core platform capabilities that enable seamless, efficient lending experiences across the organisation.
This includes:
  • Customer-facing platforms: Broker Portal, Borrower Portal and Investor Portal
  • Internal and operational tooling: Broker Portal Manager, fee configuration systems, customer administration tools, and servicing calculators
  • Core platform capabilities such as Open Banking and Identity Resolution as a reusable, consistent capability across all channels
Across these areas, you will shape the long-term platform roadmap, drive architecture and scalability decisions with engineering, translate operational and regulatory requirements into product capabilities, and ensure the organisation builds once and reuses everywhere.

Key responsibilities:
  • Define and deliver a cohesive, cross-channel platform roadmap, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability
  • Drive platform architecture decisions with engineering, including configuration models, onboarding approaches, and technical debt prioritisation
  • Translate operational pain points into structured, prioritised product improvements that reduce friction and increase automation
  • Partner with multiple channel owners to align competing priorities behind a shared platform vision
  • Establish and track platform health metrics including reliability, adoption, automation rate, and operational load
  • Embed regulatory requirements into product design and delivery by default
  • Champion a platform-first mindset, ensuring shared systems are prioritised over channel-specific solutions
About you:
  • 5+ years of product management experience in a digital product environment, with a demonstrable track record of owning platform or shared-infrastructure products — not just customer-facing features.
  • Multi-channel platform experience managing products where a single platform serves distinct audiences or distribution channels with competing needs, and where you have actively governed platform scope to prevent fragmentation.
  • Regulated financial services or fintech background with a practical understanding of how compliance obligations, regulatory frameworks, and risk appetite shape product decisions.
  • Mixed portfolio track record across both customer-facing and internal tooling, with a clear and defensible approach to prioritisation across both.
  • Open Banking, CDR, or identity verification exposure is preferred; a demonstrated ability to build deep domain knowledge quickly in regulated technology areas is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience aligning multiple business units or channel owners behind a shared platform direction where each stakeholder has legitimate competing priorities.
