Where the team fits in

Launchpad is REA’s central platform engineering group, the engine behind our engineering culture. Our mission is to create seamless tech experiences and engaging environments that accelerate innovation across the entire company. We empower hundreds of engineers by providing the foundational platforms, expert guidance, and developer tooling they need to build, run, and operate software with speed and confidence.

We treat our platforms as products, with our fellow engineers as our customers. This means we are obsessed with reducing their cognitive load and creating paved roads that make it simple to do the right thing. As a collective, we provide the capabilities, guardrails and expertise necessary to help achieve our goal of becoming the #1 Tech Company. The DevX Squad is responsible for several flagship products that accelerate REA’s 100+ product teams.

  • Maintain a roadmap which balances current operational constraints, targeted delivery of value and long-term strategic goals.
  • Define and compellingly articulate the product and value proposition to internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Shape the DevX team’s product portfolio to accelerate REA’s product teams while also providing an excellent developer experience.
  • Lead the team in development of new products and features e2e including discovery, opportunity assessment, ideation, development, delivery, launch, and support.
  • Effectively implement and monitor plans/schedules with dependent teams/stakeholders, making appropriate trade-offs on scope, time and cost.
  • Create collateral and documentation to provide product support and ensure products are supported with the lowest possible overhead for exceptional service.
