The Role

Fisher & Paykel is one of New Zealand's best-known brands, a global company with a strong heritage. Our New Zealand origins, curious nature and passion to develop products designed around people are core elements that make us unique. Driven by our brand values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous and curious, as a team we take a collaborative approach, we have a culture where ideas are heard, and are united in our leading goal to be the world's most human-centred appliance brand.

As part of the largest global appliance brand – Haier, you’ll be joining a company that is on an exciting journey. A partnership that brings innovation and future led solutions, leading the way in the appliance space, it’s an exciting time to join the business.

Based at our Macquarie Park, Australian HQ, this opportunity is best suited to a commercially astute and strategic Senior Product Manager who is a strong influencer with an agile mind set. Tasked with managing the product lifecycle for our refrigeration portfolio, from new product introduction to end of life, as the expert of the product line portfolio, this role will deliver sound insights that drive strategic and profitable growth across the dual brands of Fisher & Paykel and Haier Appliances.

This is where you come in

You’ll be responsible for defining and executing the product line strategy, collaborating closely with the Australian Leadership Team and Global Product Line leaders to set both short- and long-term growth goals. With a deep understanding of the product line, its price positioning, and the competitive landscape, you will lead portfolio optimisation—ensuring the right mix of high-performing products and the rationalisation of underperforming models to drive profitable growth.

As the market expert, you’ll deliver insights into financial performance, market dynamics and competitor activity, using these to influence strategies and decisions across the business. You’ll lead project management of new product introductions, ensuring that execution is fast, aligned to strategic intent, and supported across all channels.

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have a strong commercial mindset and a deep understanding of what drives product and business performance
  • Be experienced in collaborating across senior stakeholders and functions to influence and drive alignment
  • Take personal accountability for reporting on category performance, using data-driven insights and lead/lag indicators to support decision-making
  • Proactively respond to competitor activity with well-considered, cross-functional strategies
  • Be comfortable influencing executive-level stakeholders, presenting updates and strategic insights with clarity and impact
  • Drive a seamless, brand-aligned representation of our value proposition across all customer touchpoints

So that's the role, who are you?

You’re a natural leader and strategic thinker, able to distil insights from complexity and turn them into clear actions. You’ve built a reputation for being proactive, commercially minded, and influential. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can prioritise ruthlessly to drive outcomes. You bring a strong product management background—ideally with 5+ years' experience in consumer goods, luxury goods, FMCG or omni-channel environments.

You're passionate about products, excited by innovation, and driven by the opportunity to make a measurable impact. You thrive in dynamic environments, love solving complex problems, and bring others on the journey with you. In time, you’ll be recognised as a trusted expert and strategic leader within our business.

What we offer

We can give you the rare opportunity to move into a large, complex global organisation headquartered in NZ, where you will gain wide exposure across the business. This role has diverse and exciting challenges and the chance to continually learn and develop.

Along with a competitive salary, flexible working, ongoing development and excellent growth and progression opportunities, as a valued member of our team you’ll enjoy generous discounts on Fisher & Paykel and Haier products.

All this, coupled with great leadership and backed by a world leading heritage brand.
