What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Brand Experience team on a 6 month contract. This role is perfect for someone with a background in managing web development and UI/UX design projects, within an agile/technical environment. You will be responsible for driving the development of event landing pages from briefing and creative development, through to completion - Ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and to the highest quality. If you have a passion for digital delivery and thrive in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment, this role is for you!
At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Managing web development and UI/UX projects across CMS platforms.
  • Supporting the Program Lead in developing and adjusting project schedules, including scope, timelines and resourcing plans - ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (creatives, engineers and marketers) to gather requirements and ensure our web pages are executed to the highest quality.
  • Monitoring project progress and launch risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary to maintain project timelines and quality.
  • Conducting post-launch reviews to identify and implement optimisations that enhance effectiveness.


You're probably a match if you

  • Bring proven experience as a Senior Project Manager leading web projects, within a digital agency or technical team. You're comfortable managing complex delivery activities.
  • Have experience in facilitating day-to-day agile practices with delivery teams such as stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Have a strong understanding of web development processes, technologies, and tools, with hands-on experience managing projects on CMS platforms.
  • Advocate for user-centred design by applying a strong understanding of UI/UX principles to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Are exceptionally organised, with the ability to create realistic timelines, overcome obstacles, and rally project teams to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with different disciplines, quickly building trust and managing stakeholder expectations with clarity and empathy.
  • Are familiar with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com or similar platforms.
  • Are a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with evolving priorities. If you enjoy taking initiative, embracing ambiguity, and getting hands-on to drive success, this role is perfect for you!
