We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Regulatory Advisor, reporting to the General Manager Industry Regulation & Policy.
A bit about your role
As a Senior Regulatory Advisor, you will take ownership of dedicated portfolios of work, with a primary focus on policy and advocacy development, stakeholder engagement, and provision of regulatory advice to enable the company to achieve its goals. You will play a trusted advisory role, frequently leading complex policy and regulatory issues internally and externally in close partnership with colleagues across the business. This is a role that values judgement, confidence and excellent communication skills, with the autonomy to shape advice, influence outcomes, and navigate regulatory risk while remaining closely connected to nbn’s commercial objectives.
In this role, you will bring clarity to complexity by drawing together regulatory and policy insights to deliver high‑quality, succinct and impactful advice, both written and verbal. You will proactively build and nurture constructive relationships with external stakeholders, developing thoughtful advocacy strategies and submissions that support positive outcomes for nbn and the communities it serves.
A bit about you
You bring extensive technical experience across regulation, law or public policy, along with a genuine interest in how advocacy can enable better outcomes for customers, industry and government. You are comfortable leading regulatory matters end‑to‑end, approaching your work with curiosity and a strong sense of purpose. Your advice is grounded, balanced and persuasive, and you take pride in communicating complex issues with precision and confidence.
You value collaboration and connection, and you build trust easily through an inclusive and considered approach. You are able to work independently while remaining deeply aligned with broader organisational goals, and you enjoy partnering with others to solve problems and influence change.
