We are seeking an experienced Remuneration Specialist to join our Rewards & Benefits team based in South Brisbane. 

As a key member of the team, you will partner with HR and business leaders across Hastings Deering and the wider Sime Industrial network to support the delivery of remuneration programs and initiatives that promote market competitiveness, internal equity and business performance. 

Reporting to the Remuneration & Benefits Manager, you will provide advice and support across a broad range of reward activities, including remuneration reviews, market benchmarking and job evaluation. This role offers the opportunity to build strong stakeholder relationships while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of Sime Industrial's reward framework. 

What you’ll be doing:  

  • Support the annual remuneration review process, including salary planning, incentive outcomes, modelling, analysis and reporting. 

  • Conduct remuneration benchmarking and market pricing to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. 

  • Analyse remuneration data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders. 

  • Maintain remuneration frameworks, job evaluation methodologies and salary structures. 

  • Provide expert remuneration advice to HR and business leaders on compensation-related matters. 

  • Ensure remuneration practices comply with internal governance requirements and external regulatory obligations. 

  • Contribute to remuneration projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Manage and advise on international talent mobility assignments, supporting the expatriate population 

  • Work closely with the Malaysia-based head office functions and other entities across Asia. 

What you’ll need:  

A successful teammate will have: 

  • Proven experience in remuneration, compensation and benefits, or reward consulting. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex remuneration data and translate insights into recommendations. 

  • Experience managing annual remuneration review cycles, salary benchmarking and market analysis. 

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS, payroll and reporting tools (ie Workday, iChris and Power BI highly regarded). 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels. 

  • Experience with job evaluation and job architecture tool/methodologies, preferably Korn Ferry. 

  • A high level of attention to detail, commercial acumen and a passion for equitable and effective reward practices.
