About Ofload and Our Mission

Freight moves everything. Your groceries, the parts keeping factories running, the stock sitting in a warehouse waiting on a truck. And yet the industry making all of it happen is still fragmented, opaque, and wildly inefficient — one in three trucks on Australian roads is driving empty.

At Ofload, we’re changing that. We’re FreightTech: using technology, data, and strategic partnerships to connect a growing roster of customers with smaller, highly efficient transport operators. By reducing empty miles, improving visibility, and optimising supply chains, we’re building something smarter, greener, and genuinely better for businesses and the environment. As a certified B Corp, we’re held to the highest standards of social and environmental performance — and we actively work to keep earning it.

This isn’t just logistics. It’s the digital transformation of a $76 billion industry that touches everyone’s lives.

Who We Are

We’re a values-led team with a flat, collaborative culture. We’re builders — we move fast, take ownership, and make a real impact. No two days are the same, and we give people the space to actually make a difference.

  • Bring the energy — Show up for the work and the team
  • Take the wheel — We see it, we own it, we fix it
  • Think out loud — Say the thought, even without the answer
  • No ego, no politics — Humans who care about the mission and each other
  • Make it fun — We make the moments matter

Why Join Ofload?

We’ve raised over $100M from some of the world’s top investors — backers of Canva, Revolut, and HelloFresh. We’re growing fast and being recognised for it:

  • Ranked #1: Deloitte Climate and Sustainability Award 2024
  • Ranked #2: AFR BOSS Best Places to Work 2024, Transport & Construction
  • AFR BOSS Fast100 2025 — second highest revenue
  • Deloitte Fast50 — three consecutive years
  • AFR FastStarters — three consecutive years

We combine startup agility with a real-world problem worth solving. If you want to build something that matters, you’ll fit right in.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Manager to own the commercial engine as Ofload enters its next phase of growth. You’ll inherit a small team of BDMs already in market and build it out further — coaching, developing, and holding the bar high, while still hunting and closing your own pipeline. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job. The structure, the tooling, and the automation are here to make space for you to be on the road and in front of customers.

Reporting directly to the VP Commercial, you’ll sit close to the strategic centre of the business and have real influence over how we go to market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and growing a team of BDMs — inheriting existing talent and building out the pod further as the business scales
  • Hunting and closing your own pipeline of new business alongside leading the team
  • Setting sales strategy and cascading it into team and individual OKRs
  • Owning team pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to the VP Commercial and senior leadership
  • Instilling a culture of proactive, new-business-first selling over passive account management
  • Working across verticals — FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and beyond — with a mix of deal sizes from agile mid-market wins to larger strategic accounts
  • Leading the biggest relationships and complex deals personally, especially where scale demands it
  • Partnering with Commercial and Marketing on go-to-market strategy
  • Representing Ofload at industry events and building our profile in market
  • Reading market and competitor trends and adjusting strategy accordingly

About You

  • 8+ years in middle-mile and road freight sales or business development, including at least 2 years leading and developing a high-performing team
  • A hunter first — you’re still building and closing your own pipeline, not just managing a team’s
  • Track record of building and running sales teams that consistently hit
  • Confident coach and leader, comfortable having the tough conversations
  • Thrives in a high-growth environment — building process as much as running it
  • Strong commercial and negotiation instincts
  • Comfortable using data to set targets and course-correct
  • Valid driver’s licence and happy to spend time on the road

We prioritise impact, aptitude, and passion — if you don’t tick every box, apply anyway and tell us why you’re the one.

What’s on the Table

  • Competitive industry base salary + uncapped commission — structured to reward performance, not cap it
  • ESOP — equity participation in the next phase of Ofload’s growth. You’ll help build it; you should share in what it becomes
  • Sales toolkit: HubSpot and a broader sales tech stack built for visibility and pace — with the foundation in place, you’ll have real input into how the tooling and ways of working evolve
  • Full Claude licence — use AI to drive automation, sharpen proposals, and free up time for what matters: being on the road and in front of customers
  • Flexibility and Wellbeing: hybrid work, remote options, additional leave for volunteering, celebrations, and personal milestones
  • $500 learning and development budget, in-house workshops, and Lunch & Learns
  • Annual Summer Camp offsite
  • Office perks: weekly catered breakfast, monthly team lunch, morning coffee at the local café, quarterly events, table tennis, board games, and a library

When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you need during the interview process.
